How to Unlock Idea 3G Netsetter

STEP BY STEP GUIDE TO UNLOCK IDEA 3G NETSETTER

1) Download the cdma workshop and download huawei e1732 downgrader ( disable antivirus before opening the cdma workshop ).

2) Insert a non idea sim to your Idea 3G Netsetter (e1732 ).
3) Find the common port to which your Idea 3G Netsetter (e1732 ) modem is connected.
Right click on your My Computer icon > Properties > Device Manager > Ports (COM & LPT) > HUAWEI Mobile Connect – 3G Application Interface (COM [The port number appear in your system] )
4) Run CDMA Workshop v2.7.0.exe
5) Select the Port that you noted from your Device Manager under the Port option in COM Settings (AT mode) under the Main tab.
6) Then click on connect and then click on read

7) Go to the Security tab > Type 000000 in the blank box under SPC > Click on SPC button > Click on Send with Default (nv_read) as SPC.

8) Click on Memory tab > NV Items > Read > Now a Conform box will appear > Click OK > Now a NV Items Backup box will appear > In the box straight to Last NV Item type 9999 > Click OK > Save the file by giving a file name you like (Eg: E1732Unlock)

9) When the buffer reach 100% your file is saved successfully. Now a Information box will appear > Click OK > Minimise CDMA Workshop v2.7.0
10) Run E1732 Downgrader8 > accept the agreement > Next > Wait for a few seconds until the search for your modem finishes > (Don’t mark on Auto remove the device after update) Next > (Don’t remove your data card until the process is finished) > Start > At the end of Downloading Programs… you will get a Update Failure! error dialog box (DON’T WORRY & DON’T GET DISAPPOINTED) > Click OK > Click Finish*
11) Restore CDMA Workshop v2.7.0 > Main tab > Disconnect
12) Unplug your Idea 3G Netsetter (e1732 ) modem from your computer.
13) Again Plug it to the Computer. Check the Port again from the Device Manager
14) Go to CDMA Workshop v2.7.08 select the Port that you noted from your Device Manager under the Port option in COM Settings (AT mode) under the Main tab as we did before > Click on Connect > Memory tab > NV Items > Click on Write > A Confirm box will appear > Click OK > Open dialog box will appear > Open the file that you saved before > When the buffer reach 100% a Information dialog box appears with a success message > Click OK > Main tab > Disconnect*
15) Now close CDMA Workshop v2.7.0 > A Confirm dialogue box will appear > Click NO
16) Close everything and Enable your Antivirus
17) That’s it. Your Idea 3G Netsetter (e1732 )is unlocked successfully.
18) Unplug Idea Netsetter (Modem) from your computer.
19) Put a SIM Card other than IDEA to the Netsetter and again Plug it to the Computer.
20) Wait for Idea Netsetter to Start. It will detect the SIM card and enjoy browsing with any other SIM.

Many people are having problem while connecting to internet with other sim cards now you can connect by any sim card with default IDEA net Setter Dashboard using these steps. If your Modem is detecting sim cards and you are getting errors then try this
Windows XP
Open Control Panel -> Phone and Modem (found directly in control panel or in Printers and other hardware ) –> modem tab –> huawei mobile connect 3g modem (which is present on COM ) –> properties advance –> extra initializing command use given commands below and click OK
Windows 7
In the start menu, type phone and modem — click on itb —> modems –> huawei mobile connect 3g modem –> properties –> change settings –> advance –> extra initialization command –> use given commands below and if it asks for Country and area code then set Country to India and Area Code to 91 and leave other fields blank.

Follow the steps:

2] Disable your antivirus and Remove Idea card from modem and insert another company SIM card.

 i.e. BSNL,AIRCEL,DOCOMO,AIRTEL etc.

3] Find out modem port no.

                Device Manager->Ports (COM&LPT)

HUAWEI Mobile Connect – 3G Application Interface (COM[X]) ...X is port no.

Find Port Number (Here COM9)

4] Extract downloaded Modem Unlock Tools.zip

5] Run ‘CDMA Workshop.exe’

  In Main tab

• Set your port no under COM Setting.
• Click on ‘Connect’

6] Click on Security Tab

• Under SPC, enter ‘000000’ in empty box.
• Click on SPC and then Send

7] Click on Memory Tab

• Under ‘NV Items’  click on Read
•  Click on Ok when confirmation box appears

• Now enter ‘9999’ in Last NV Item box
• Click Ok
• Save File as ‘Unlock ‘ on desktop, and wait till the progress bar reaches to 100%

8] Now open ‘E1732 Downgrader.exe’ file and minimize ‘CDMA Workshop’

• Click on Next
• ‘Update Failure’ message will appear don’t worry about this
• Click on Finish.

Just Click on Ok

9] Now move to 'CDMA Workshop' window

• Under Main Tab click on Disconnect. 
• Unplug your modem
• Again Plugin modem
•  Again find Port no.

10] In Main Tab under COM setting

• Set port no
• Click on Connect

11] Go to Memory tab

• Under NV Items, Click on Write
• Click on Ok when confirmation box appears
• Choose ‘Unlock’ file from desktop that previously saved.
• Click on Ok and wait till progress bar reaches to 100%.
•  Click on Ok

12] Go to the Main Tab and click on Disconnect.

13] Close ‘CDMA Workshop’ when confirmation dialog box appears Click on ‘No’

Now, you can use any SIM card in your modem !!

Hack Idea net setter: Make a call from dongle

hiiiii,
today ill tell you about my latest hack of 3G Idea Net setter. call from it .okay,,,,,,,, so let's see how   ?

NOTE: This is for EDUCATION purpose only to show you it is possible to call from idea Net setter. I am not responsible for unauthorized use of these information.
when i bought my first dongle and installed on my computer ,
i was started getting troubles
The main problem was when any one call's on my  cell no. 95xxxxxxxx
They gets caller tune as default tune (tring tring tone) but real in the Fact i'm not getting any call on my computer !
idea net setter team has just created a customized avatar of HUAWEI DONGLE
it's allows you to connect internet(Lol),sending sms,and checking your balance
but don't allows you to accept or create a call ! :(
so how to solve this problem !
here we go.....
to solve this problem you have to download a software called :Mobile Partner

this is the main software and Great software developed by the dongle owner "HUAWEI"
if you focus in this  both of software you will find that
idea dongle's developers has just made a copy n pasted the source code of this mobile partner software on idea net setter  ! see the snaps

computer is the father of mobile so that's why it can do every task like Calling and sending bla bla bla all(etc) as mobile.
i didn't understand that why they(idea net setter's developers) don't allows user to make a GSM call but what ever,we can now call from pc as a mobile phone !

Enable Voice Calling In Idea Netsetter

     By Default Idea Netsetter Application Doesn't Support voice calling,because the SIM card you have inserted in modem also not support voice calling service, voice calling service is blocked by operator.

     The solution is to use other SIM card that support voice calling,but one problem still can occur, that is the modem will be get locked after changing SIM card.So, solution to locked modem is unlocking it to any network for procedure you must refer my previous post about unlocking Huawai modem permanently  else if you have already unlocked modem keep going..

after unlocking modem follow the steps given below..
