You can make the folder icons through the Windows XP operating system larger within your computer's advanced display settings, which can be accessed through a context menu.
To resize desktop icons
Step 1
Right-click an open area on the Windows XP desktop to open a context menu.
Step 2
Click "Properties" to open the Display Properties dialog box.
Step 3
Select the "Appearance" tab and click "Advanced" to open the Advanced Appearance dialog box.
Step 4
Click the "Item" drop-down menu and select "Icon."
Step 5
Highlight the existing number in the Size field and enter your own number. You can enter any number up to 72.
Step 6
Press "OK." The size of all the folder icons within the operating system are changed automatically.
