India and China are likely to sign over 20 business agreements during PM Modi’s three-day visit, the Indian envoy said on Wednesday, emphasising that both sides are trying to look for synergies in their respective agendas.

said that PM Modi will be accorded the ‘highest-level reception’ by
President Xi Jinping as the two leaders look to deepen their ties. He
will arrive in Beijing later tonight and meet Premier Li Keqiang
tomorrow for talks. Modi’s visit to Xi’an, hometown of Xi Jinping, is

As Indian Express had reported earlier, “a key reason behind Modi’s visit to President Xi’s home province — Lao Jia (Old house in Mandarin), as the Chinese proudly say — was that leaders from Shaanxi have become a powerful group in China’s top decision-making bodies.”
