Mario Götze Goal Video vs Argentina WC Final 2014



A golden striker from Substitute Mario Gomez in the 2nd half of extra-time ended Argentina’s resistance and won Germany their fourth World Cup Title. Here is the goal video and match highlights:

The game was 0-0 at the 88th minute when German coach Joachim Loew brought on Mario Goetze who is probably the biggest disappointment in the world cup for german squad so far. Game finished 0-0 in the normal 90 minutes. The game went into the extra time where both teams had chances in the first half extra time but it took 8th minute of 2nd extra time when Mario Goetze recieved a superb cross, chested it down and slotted home from acute angel past Romero and that goal well and truly sealed German’s their 4th World Cup crown, first since 1990 when Jugen Klinsmann and co guided them to penalties win over Argentina.

The goal was scored late in the game which stunned Argentina fans and players alike. Argentina did had their chances to get the lead in the normal play but all three of their strikers missed some easy chances. While Lionel Messi had a poor game to his standards.
